Chińska Panda 8g Au 999 - 8,00g
The Chinese Panda is one of the most recognizable and highly valued bullion coins in the world – continuously issued since 1982, it belongs to the group of the most prestigious emissions, alongside the Krugerrand, Vienna Philharmonic, and Canadian Maple Leaf.
The coin is made of pure gold of 999.9 fineness (24 karats), without any other metal alloys. It is minted by the China Gold Coin Corporation – a state-owned mint under the People's Bank of China, which certifies the weight and purity of the precious metal. Unlike most bullion coins, the Chinese Panda is not denominated in troy ounces, but in grams – this standard has been in effect since 2016. The 8 g variant, previously equivalent to 1/4 ounce, is one of the more affordable weights in the series, making it a natural entry point for those wishing to accumulate gold in small, regular steps.

Exceptional, annually changing design
The Chinese Panda is the only bullion coin series in the world where the panda image on the reverse changes every year – unlike the fixed obverse depicting the Temple of Heaven. For the collector, this means that each year's issue is unique, further increasing the coin's collectible value in addition to its purely investment value.
Denomination in grams instead of ounces
It is worth remembering that since 2016, the Chinese Panda is no longer denominated in troy ounces, but in grams – the 8 g coin (nominal value 100 yuan) is equivalent to the former 1/4 ounce, but not its exact quantitative equivalent (0.2572 oz instead of 0.25 oz). With the change to the metric system, the diameter also changed slightly – only the 15 g variant (previously 1/2 oz) retained its original size of 27 mm, while the other weights, including 8 g, received new, adjusted dimensions.
