What are 'old Czech Koruna'?
The Czech National Bank (ČNB) periodically introduces new designs of Czech Koruna banknotes, mainly due to modernizing security features against counterfeiting. Older designs are sometimes withdrawn from current circulation, although they are generally still exchangeable – however, some currency exchange offices in Poland do not accept them, considering them less liquid.
Which banknotes we exchange
At Kantor Grand, we will check whether the older Czech Koruna banknotes you possess are eligible for exchange. Before bringing a larger amount, we recommend contacting us by phone to confirm the current acceptance rules for a specific series.
How the exchange takes place
It is enough to bring the banknotes to our office at Adama Mickiewicza 22 – we will assess their series and condition, present the current exchange rate, and upon acceptance, we will immediately pay out the equivalent in Polish zloty.
